Answer: By default, administrator mode,

Username: telecomadmin, Password: admintelecom,

Common user, User name: root, Password: admin

Question-2: What is the default IP address and Subnet Mask of huawei ont ?
Answer: IP address: 192.168.100.1, Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Question-3: If we want to connect a PC with Huawei ONT, how to set IP address and subnet mask of the PC?
Answer: Set the IP address of the PC to be in the same subnet as the LAN IP address of the HG8240/HG8245/HG8247.

    I purchnased Huawei HG8240 Echolife device from etisalat telecom. I'm planning to take Fiber connection at my home via service provider in india. Can i take this same device to india and connect it ot fiber and use it or not?

  6. Hello mr. Sahed
    As we know, onts of diffrent vendors have two mode access .user and admin.
    My question is that if is it necessery not permit users to inter in admin mode by changing defult user and password of administration mode?
    I mean, operaters or isps implement this kind of limitations?
    next question:can attackers attack like dos attack from ont to core network so that ISPs have to do user limitaion by block admin mode?
